

Breech Body Balancing
Breech Body Balancing sessions are for those who are in the 2nd or 3rd trimester of pregnancy and known to be carrying breech (or transverse, oblique, etc) and wishing to improve baby's position for a head-down vaginal delivery
OR
those 28+ weeks gestation and presenting in any fetal positioning, wishing to maximize body and tissue balance to promote optimal fetal positioning and prevent restriction or reduce pregnancy related pain
What Does a
breech body balancing session include?

Consultation
on fetal presentation, pregnancy related body sensations (ie: pain), desired birth, whole body health assessment, physical/emotional connection with baby

Bodywork
includes gentle and encouraging muscle and fascial release, massage, relaxation, and body positions to open spaces allowing baby more freedom of movement to transition into a head down position

Postures
to reduce the affects of gravity and muscle tension, encourage tissue relaxation, opening spaces for baby to freely move as desired. Education on home manuvers or partner assisted activites to maximize tissue response and baby's desired position.

90+ minute session which includes detailed consultation on your health, baby's presentation, desired birth experience, emotional health, stress, movement, support and much much more

body assessment including mapping baby's position, tissue and joint mobility that may be restricting baby's movement

pain management for hip, low back, rib pain, or other discomforts in your body

gentle tissue massage/releases and assisted postures to encourage opening of tight spaces within your body - tight structures in mother's body can be limiting baby's ability to move into a head down position

use of breathing, nervous system regulation, positions based on desired affects of gravity, movements like stretching and exercises to maintain space availability​

A pelvic floor assessment or traditional pelvic floor physical therapy sesson

An ECV (External Cephalic Version) - the manual turning of a fetus within the womb
