Physical Therapist & Owner

Dr. Maggie Gise

Over the past 13 years of experience as a PT, and nearly 9 years as a mom, Maggie has discovered her passion for helping women navigate their own bodies at all stages of life, but especially the passage into motherhood. After struggling with her own postpartum journey and having to travel between several states to find quality and specific care, she decided this was a service that needed to be provided locally. Now, Maggie is on a mission to educate, support, and promote optimal women's care in the Panhandle. She is eager to create a place where prenatal and postpartum care is natural, routine, and available. When Maggie is not treating patients, you can find her hiking with her husband Joe, living life with Paige and Tori, cooking up snacks in the kitchen, exploring local vineyards or breweries, or snuggling up with the pups Bruno and Gordy. She also enjoys adventures in running and kayaking. Maggie graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 2012 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist with specific postdoctoral training in obstetrics and pelvic health.

Dr. Christine Force

Christine earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland Baltimore in 2010. With over 15 years of experience as a physical therapist and 12 years of experience as a mom, she is passionate about supporting women in achieving optimal health and wellness. With specialized education in women's pelvic health, Christine has developed particular expertise in supporting women with incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. She has a special interest in working with hypermobile individuals, understanding the unique challenges that joint hypermobility presents for pelvic floor function and overall stability. Christine integrates mindfulness practices and nervous system regulation techniques into her treatment approach, recognizing the important connection between mental and physical well-being in pelvic health recovery. Her holistic philosophy is informed by extensive continuing education in pelvic health, yin and restorative yoga, and mindfulness practices. When she isn't working, you'll find Christine spending time with her family outdoors. She is happiest tending to her garden and hunting down native plants to photograph. During colder months you'll find her operating the scoreboard for her son Brandon's ice hockey team.

Patient Care Coordinator

Amanda Bowers

Amanda is our Patient Care Coordinator here at Gaia Women’s Physical Therapy & Wellness. She is the first friendly voice you hear when you call and the first face you see when you walk in. Amanda served in the United States AirForce right out of high school. After finishing her military career, she spent 15 years working both in the medical field as well as administrative. For the last several years she was a successful small business owner. She is a mother of five and when she is not taking care of our patients here in the office she is watching her kids at soccer games, cheering her husband on in Crossfit competitions, hanging out at the best distilleries and breweries, and checking out the most amazing restaurants. During her down time she loves photography, reading, snuggling with her dog, caring for her plants (a new love thanks to Gaia), and being with friends and family.
